Let them talk

You ever did something good and people spoke behind your back? You ever did something bad and people spoke behind your back? It’s like the saying “you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t right?”!

One thing I’ve learned and I’m still learning is to continue on to do what God has called me to do. Someone will always say something. Whether it be good or bad. Idk why we mostly concentrate on the bad?

If God has called you into ministry, in whatever position of serving you may be in, continue on. Jesus had talkers. Especially when he did miracles. He always had them Pharisees speaking some nonsense. Did that stop Jesus from doing miracles? Nope. He continued on. He kept bringing hope, healing, and deliverance everywhere He went. He didn’t care what people thought because He knew who He was.

We are in Christ. Therefore our identity is found in Christ not in what others think about us.

Listen. I’m not saying this gives us a green light to behave improperly. No. We need to continue being kind and loving our enemies. Christ taught us that. But we should never let other people’s opinions dictate what God has called us to do.

As long as we are living for Christ. Loving our enemies. Doing good to others. That’s all that matters. Remember people will always talk regardless. Especially when you’re working for the kingdom of God. So you know what? “Let them talk” don’t try to defend yourself or fight. Let them keep talking. Let God be the one to convict the hearts and bring them to repentance. Ultimately it’s not a problem with you but with God. So let God handle it.
