Starting Over

Start over stinks, to be honest. It’s a tough thing to go through especially when you have been put in that position over and over again.

It could be starting all over with a goal you couldn’t reach. Or maybe a career change. Or even a marriage. When you have to do something again; it’s starting all over. It almost feels like a setback. Because you thought you were almost at the finish line and BAM! Something you weren’t expecting happened. So you have to go back and start from the beginning.

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been there with my business. It can be exhausting. But one thing I have learned or still learning is that starting over gives us a chance to reflect on what we did wrong and perfect it the next time around.

He started over and over in the invention of the electric light bulb until he succeeded. He barely slept and had long days. Sounds a lot like my life! Lol But he got it. Starting over just shows what didn’t work last time so let’s try something different this time. And if that didn’t work; well let’s go this route now and see what happens. This is something I am learning now with my Pool business. It can be a bit discouraging at times but every time we have to start over I learn something new.

And I learn what not to do the next time around.

So for now if you find yourself in this same situation; don’t get discouraged. Learn from it and try again and again until you get it right. Don’t give up because maybe just maybe you’re on the brink of your breakthrough.
